The scientific support for this test within mainstream Dutch healthcare is limited. The test is not included in NHG/FMS standard guidelines.
Rationale for this test
Dit panel combineert drie markers (DHEA-S, testosteron, insuline) voor spieropbouw-optimalisatie. Hoewel deze markers individueel klinisch valide zijn bij specifieke medische indicaties (bijnierschorsinsufficiëntie, hypogonadisme, diabetes), is hun gecombineerde toepassing voor spieropbouw-optimalisatie bij gezonde personen niet opgenomen in Nederlandse zorgrichtlijnen. De wetenschappelijke onderbouwing voor deze specifieke combinatie als screening-panel voor sportprestatie is beperkt binnen de reguliere geneeskunde.
