What's in the kit?
Your kit includes everything needed for a safe, clear collection.
- Sterile single‑use lancets
- Alcohol wipe
- Collection microtainer with label
- Tube stand
- Return envelope

How it works

1.Wash your hands
Wash your hands with warm water.

2.Dry and warm
Dry and warm your hands for 2–5 minutes (rub or keep them warm).

3.Set up the tube
Place the collection tube upright in the stand.

4.Choose the site
Choose the side of the ring or middle finger; these usually give the best flow.

5.Bring blood to fingertip
Gently massage blood towards the fingertip; avoid strong squeezing (don’t force fluid).

6.Disinfect
Clean the puncture site with the alcohol wipe and let it dry.

7.Remove cap
Remove the cap from the lancet (medical fingerstick device).

8.Puncture
Press the lancet firmly onto the site and activate in one motion.

9.Collect
Guide the blood drops into the tube; keep the tube stable in the stand.

10.Fill
Fill at least up to the marks on the tube.

11.Close & invert
Close the tube and gently invert it a few times.

12.Check
Verify the cap is fully closed.

13.Back in stand
Place the tube back upright in the stand.

14.Seal bag
Put the tube in the seal bag and close it well.

15.Medical envelope
Place the seal bag into the medical return envelope.

16.Send
Post via the orange PostNL mailboxes (ideally Mon–Thu).
Tips for a smooth collection

- Warm your hands to improve flow.
- Prick on the side of the fingertip (less sensitive, better flow).
- Gently massage towards the fingertip; don’t squeeze hard.
- Close the tube immediately and check the label.
