What does this test examine?
Test at home for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomonas, Mycoplasma genitalium, HIV and syphilis.
What is analysed?
- Chlamydia trachomatis (PCR)
- Gonorrhoea / Neisseria gonorrhoeae (PCR)
- Trichomonas vaginalis (PCR)
- Mycoplasma genitalium (PCR)
- HIV 1 and 2 (antigen/antibodies)
- Syphilis (antibodies)
- Syphilis confirmation (TPHA)

- Men – urine + fingerstick
- Women – vaginal swab + fingerstick
When can you test?
An STI may not yet be detectable shortly after exposure. The appropriate testing time differs by infection. If you have symptoms, are pregnant, use PrEP or PEP, had a very recent exposure or experienced sexual violence, contact your doctor or sexual health clinic.
Your result
You receive the laboratory result digitally. A positive or reactive result may require additional testing or treatment through a doctor or sexual health clinic.
Risks and downsides of this test
- Swab at home. A wrongly taken swab can miss an infection. Follow the instructions in the kit exactly.
- Finger prick at home. For about nine in ten people the sample succeeds on the first try. Too little blood or haemolysis (damaged blood cells from squeezing hard) makes the sample unusable and a new kit is needed.
- No test is one hundred percent reliable. A result can point to something that is not there, or miss something that is. A result is a snapshot and does not make a diagnosis.
- An abnormal result has consequences. It can lead to follow-up tests with your GP, and to worry that turns out to be unnecessary. Follow-up tests or treatment can have downsides of their own.
- Incidental findings are not expected with this test. An incidental finding is something other than what you were looking for. During checkout you choose whether you want to be informed about one.

Which samples do I collect for this STI home test?
You collect two samples: a vaginal swab and blood using a fingerstick. The PCR analyses are performed on the swab; analyses that require blood are performed on the fingerstick sample. The Analyses tab shows exactly which sample is used for each analysis.
How do I collect both samples correctly?
Collect the vaginal swab without touching the swab tip with your hands or other surfaces. Then collect the fingerstick sample on the blood collection card. Follow the included kit instructions for both collections and use each item only for its intended sample.
What if one of the two collections does not work?
Do not return an incomplete kit before contacting us. We will determine which collection material needs to be replaced so the laboratory can perform all analyses included in the package.
How do I return the collection materials to the lab?
Use the supplied return envelope and place it in the letter-mail bag inside a PostNL service point yourself as soon as possible. Do not hand it to counter staff or request track & trace. The instructions supplied with your test state when it must be sent.
